GravitHy partners with Siemens France to accelerate steel industry decarbonization

During Viva Technology 2024, we announced a strategic partnership with Siemens France to optimize the design and operations of our future low-carbon iron production plant in Fos-sur-Mer. This project, representing an investment of €2.2 billion, is a key milestone in our ambition to transform the steel value chain.

A Digital and High-Performance Plant

Leveraging Siemens’ technological expertise and its Xcelerator platform, we will create a digital twin of our industrial site. This innovative approach will enable us to:

• Optimize project design and planning
• Reduce engineering and construction costs
• Enhance operational performance and minimize future maintenance expenses

Our plant is scheduled to be operational in 2028, producing 2 million tonnes of low-carbon iron per year, which will help avoid nearly 4 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually compared to traditional processes.
